Join us on April 2 and 3, 2009 for the 25th Annual Virginia Hamilton Conference, a forum on multicultural themes and issues in literature for children and young adults.
“Reflections!” is the theme of the conference. We will remember Virginia Hamilton and her tradition of closing many of the past conferences with her personal reflections and readings.
This year’s conference will look back on the life and work of Virginia Hamilton and the 24 previous gatherings. A brochure can be downloaded here. We are bringing together writers, illustrators, librarians, teachers, students and scholars who were inspired by her work, including many who knew her personally.
